All Systems Are Gobots

Information is like an addiction for me. I love knowing things, particularly, odd, unusual obscure things. It doesn’t matter how useless the information may be. Knowledge is my passion, one of them. I have others…surely…

I love information so much I’d marry it, if marrying an abstract concept weren’t really beyond the limits of reality.

I am an obscurist. Sure, I like knowing things that are common. It’s nice. But nothing gets me interested like the bizarre, the forgotten, and the unusual. Most people know plenty about Elvis Presley, but who remembers Hasil Adkins? No More Hotdogs” by the aforementioned artist (not Elvis, the other guy) is a creepy forgotten classic about love gone bad, increadibly bad. If you’re planning on throwing a Halloween party, that certainly one song worth throwing in your party mix. I digress… As my father’s said by remembering knowledge nobody else does, one is in a way keeping it alive. I like that.

Who this blog may be for:

-infovores, obscurists, and other nerdy types.

-boys who like girls in mental_floss tee-shirts (or any other applicable combination of gender identities and preferences that end “in mental_floss tee-shirts.”)

-people who regularly research topics that come up in their daily conversations.

-people who watch documentaries for fun.

-fans of the movie Desk Set.

-those who like their knowledge with a slice of cheese.

-you get the idea.

Useless Word of the Moment:

  1. I’m already a fan after one post. I have actually read a book entitled “Cruciverbalism,” so I am a fan of that word.
